Why come to a La Leche League meeting?

Often people think LLL meetings are only for those with newborn babies who need support to solve a breastfeeding or chestfeeding problem, but, in fact, LLL meetings are so much more than that…

 

A Note

Through this article we have used the term “breastfeeding” but are aware that some families use chestfeeding/bodyfeeding, and are happy to use whichever term feels right for you when supporting you.

  • You’d like to meet like-minded families and chat about breastfeeding 
  • You’d like some company whilst drinking tea
  • You’re feeling lonely and want to meet other parents 
  • You’re pregnant and want to find out more about breastfeeding before your baby arrives 
  • You’ve breastfed for a while, it’s going well and you’d like to share your knowledge with newer families 
  • You have a new baby and are struggling with breastfeeding 
  • You aren’t enjoying breastfeeding and want to tell someone who won’t judge you
  • You love breastfeeding and want to share that joy with others 
  • Your baby is so fussy and you feel embarrassed to go to groups in case they won’t stop crying
